Grundfos STR2-2.0 C

This was a replacement pump for a faulty unit. It was delivered promptly and worked perfectly

The pump fitted my installation nicely using the existing pipes. I thought the build quality was less than I expected having used Grundfos central heating pumps of high quality in the past. The pumps plastic inlet threads need great care when connecting pipes as they are easily damaged if fittings are not lined up very carefully as I found to my cost.

Having been a loyal end user of Salamander shower pumps over the years and the unreliable performance from such pumps (my last pump seizing after 4 months) I took a gamble and chose Grundfos as a direct replacement. This pump is extremely quiet compared to the Salamander and also a lot smaller and cheaper but with the same power output as the previous unit. Long term reliability is as yet unproven but if this shower pump is a reliable as their heating pumps it should have long and trouble free service.
